• How do I pay for charging? What is the battery life/range?

  When you navigate to your destination and your battery is not enough to reach your destination, the navigation automatically navigates you to the nearby supercharger along the way and let you know how long you need to charge to reach your destination. Tesla has a vast supercharging network not only in California but in the entire USA unparalleled by any other EV vehicle. Please note Tesla Superchargers automatically charges my credit card and it's not free! The car can be fully charged at Tesla supercharging station. (takes 1hr for full charge) Renter pays supercharging fees. Renter will be charged idle fees that accrue after the car is done charging. Please remove the charger after 80% is charged. Please make sure to set an alarm for the car based on the ETA of the battery charge.

• How do I unlock/ open the Model Y?

  To open the car door, push on the wide part of metal handle inlaid in the door. The skinny part should pop out. Grab it with your hand and pull it open to open the door. To open the door from the inside, push the small black button with the thin white line on it, located on the inside door handle near your thumb area. To lock and unlock the car from the outside, touch the keycard pouch to the area on the door panel below the side-view camera. To lock or unlock from the inside, push the lock logo on the touchscreen. Please be sure you watch these before your rental not only for your safety, but to truly enjoy the Tesla Model Y experience! • How do I turn on Autopilot?

  Push down twice on the shifting stick towards the Drive position when you see a steering wheel logo on the screen. IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE: The "Autopilot" and "Full Self-Driving" features of the car do not mean that the car will drive on its own...yet. Tesla is working on that but as of right now, these are safety and convenience features meant to ASSIST the driver, not take over. They do not give the driver the ability to text while driving, drink and drive, or otherwise not be alert and control the car. These features MAY work at red lights or stop signs as of this writing, but please continue to use extreme caution. We insist you please keep your hands on the wheel at all times, even on Autopilot, and to be prepared to take over the vehicle at a moment's notice. • Does the car need to be returned with full charge?

  Car will be given with at least 80% charged. Car will need to be returned the same or above. The following is the charging fee assessed if not returned at same level. 0-20% charge - $50 21-50% charge - $20 50%-80% - $10

• Do we have to clean the car when returning?

  The Model Y will be delivered to you cleaned and vacuumed and disinfected. The guest is expected to do some basic cleaning and return the vehicle in the condition it was delivered. Customer is not required wash and fully vacuum or disinfect the vehicle before returning. However, if the vehicle is in a condition that only could have been caused by irresponsible or abusive behavior (like stains, food spillage etc), we will report to Turo. • Is smoking permitted in the car?

  NO SMOKING! If there is any lingering smell cigarette, marijuana, vaping smell we will report to Turo. Turo can charge in excess $250 for detail and cleaning services.

• Is the guest required to carwash/vacuum the vehicle upon return?

  The vehicle will be delivered to you cleaned, vacuumed and disinfected. The guest is expected to do some basic cleaning and return the vehicle in the condition as it was delivered. Customer is not required to carwash and fully vacuum or disinfect the vehicle before returning. However, as a ride-share, we expect the guest to return the car in same condition when it was delivered, please do some basic cleaning, wipe off the interior/dashboard, if the car is so dirty due to long trips, a basic drive-thru wash will be appreciated. If you do drive thru carwash please only use "Touchless carwash". In self service carwash, never use the provided thick/harsh brushes, just use the high pressure soap spray and high pressure water rinse then dry off with the special microfiber towels in the MY. Special car drying towels/microfiber cloths and interior/dash wipes will be provided in the trunk. If the vehicle is in a condition that only could have been caused by irresponsible or abusive use/behavior (like stains, food spillage, smoking, beach sand on seat/carpet etc), we will report to Turo.
